Friends, Haunts and Events

Chris Milner - Chris is a good friend of ours and a regular visitor to the Croxdale Folk Club. He performs in venues all over the UK.

David Kidman - David is a respected, dedicated and prolific contributor to the UK folk scene, both locally (within Yorkshire) and nationally. He's also a real good friend of ours.

Davy Lamp Folk Club - The most popular folk club in the North East of England.

Marie Little - Another of our friends from Croxdale Folk Club. Marie is a singer with real attitude, which is why we like her.

Acoustica - Acoustica are Andy and Catherine Higgins. They write our own material which they sing and play on acoustic instruments, mainly guitars, violins, accordion, mandolin and occasionally dobro and bouzouki.

Richard Grainger - excellent singer/songwriter who organises Festival on the Moor.

Festival on the Moor - festivals and folk club venues which are regularly held throughout the year in some beautiful Yorkshire towns.

Kirkby Fleetham Folk Club - run by our good friend (despite the banjo) Paul Arrowsmith.

Folkwords - a website dedicated to folk music today written by Tim Carroll( no relation).

Clive Elsdon Building Design - Clive is a good friend, with a super building design business. He's based in Wolsingham.

Succahs4u.co.uk - Graeme runs several other websites in his spare time, this is one of them.

North of England Trike Tours - Touring the finest countryside in the North, eating up the miles in comfort riding on an amazing 3 seater trike, with its powerful 1400cc engine and being chauffeured by a knowledgeable local guide / rider.

Barrington Bunkhouse, Rookhope - A folk friendly bunkhouse in the picturesque village of Rookhope. Run by Val, her partner Ken and Val's daughter Sinead. A warm welcome is guaranteed.

Weardale Railway - A local heritage railway which operates daily and runs near a few of the locations mentioned in some of our songs

Killhope Lead Mining Museum - A local museum about the history of Lead Mining in the area
